One of our employees has an HP Pavilion G6 laptop. He uses an external display at work but has to keep the screen of the laptop open. If he closes the screen, then the video to the external display is power off. The phone charges while you work but if you were to close the lid and let your computer enter Sleep mode, your phone would cease to charge. Here’s how you can continue charging your phone even with the laptop lid closed and your system in Sleep mode. I have tried changing it to Sleep, and then saved changes, and then I changed it back to Do Nothing and saved changes, and it still sleeps when I close the lid. Is this because of a new Windows update? I am needing to fiddle around with computer settings when I would rather be doing other things, and I shouldn't have to be doing this.
